Finally got back to the gym last night. Had a very light workout and then yoga. Felt pretty good after that. Today went for a walk in the morning- slow pace and not far and then in the afternoon ran the staff fitness at school. I don't really do the circuit although I do bounce around a bit and demonstrate the exercises. Well..... felt a bit sore in the neck and hip after that. Damn! It's about time these aches and pains left me. I'm going to get a massage next week if I get around to organising it. I feel as though I need to go on a stretching rack or something. I really enjoy the staff fitness classes. It's almost as though they are the best part of my week. I'm going on long service leave at the end of this year until May 29th and then most probably ( definitely!!) going to resign ( retire). I'm hoping to get into the fitness industry in some shape or form. Just hope I have the confidence to pursue it!

I was on holiday in Port Douglas- and I wish I was still there!!!

I went up to Shepparton yesterday to support my friend doing the marathon. It was great! I got a lot of vicarious pleasure in that! I ran with her at about the 23km mark for about 3 ks and then again at the 38km mark until the end. She said it helped her and I really enjoyed doing it. It's the closest I'll ever get to doing a marathon! However.........ouch.....my hip was so sore afterwards! Today it seems a lot better. Went for a walk tonight- but a slow one.Lol- and then out for coffee and dessert afterwards.

Yesterday I walked for about 50 mins with a friend- it was really nice to catch up with her. She's going in the marathon at Shepparton on Sunday ( the one where I was going to do the half marathon!!) I'm going up there anyway to be a bit of a support for her if I can.
My hip was quite sore after the walking and again today. I sat all day and was really stiff around my neck and hip. Took the staff fitness this afternoon and prob did more that I should have- and now paying for it. I'm tired of my body

walked again today- this time managed to find the time for 50 mins. Did a couple of hills so I felt this probably does me more good. My eating was really good until later in the day when I sort of fell apart! Never mind- at least for half a day I was good! There is always tomorrow.

yesterday ( Sunday) and today - I walked for 40 mins each day. I walk fast so hopefully it will be doing me some good. I am so tempted to run- it's far more interesting and you get places quicker!! However I put in some hills so that made me puff a bit.

I've just come back from 3 weeks holiday in Port Douglas. Unfortunately just before I went I realised that I wouldn't be able to do the half marathon:(( my anke was playing up ( achilles) and so was my hip (old injury) I entered for the 10k instead, However after these holidays I've decided not to go in that either!!! I hurt my upper back and it still is rather stiff and also my hip was really sore again after a trial run. aggghhhh- these injuries are such a pain!! I'm going to concentrate on walking, walking walking with the occasional run ( 3-5km) its such a shame but I still want to be able to do stuff when I am really old!
