This is todays cardio work out. Check out the great scenery! We live really close to the Warburton Rail Trail and this was taken on about 10k of the track. Husband waited vainly for a train at Wesburn station- I think he might still be there, it's awfully quiet in the house tonight!
And look deb and kerryn- butt- ugly shoes!!!

You live in such beautiful surrounds Linda...

Must be nice fresh air instead of polluted city air :P

Linda, the cool weather has its compensations. Like...um.... sitting by an open fire with a hot drink. Or being able to grow stuff that goes all mouldy and dies up north. I'm sure there are more.... LOL.

The walk looks great - now, what do you do on the bike? If I had to just sit and pedal for 30 minutes, I'd die of boredom. Throw in some intervals and make it HARD. 5 minutes of this, 10 minutes of that - the time passes really quickly. Yell if you want some ideas.

OK so the cold winds from Melbourne have blown up here. I'll stop bragging.

Kerryn- I either do a hills program or do intervals of 30 secs. ie 30 secs fast and hard then 30 secs recovery. I can't do that for very long though- prob only 4 or 5 times. I'd love some more ideas. I liked your prog where you threw in some of those very slow squats!
Deb- phew! Now I can stop fanning the wind northwards!!
Kerryn- say what you like- I still want the HEAT!!!!!

Linda, have you tried doing the Body For Life style intervals on the bike.
Each interval lasts for one minute before you go up a level. You should be able to last 20 minutes doing that or die in the process.

I've been doing those slow squats with In The Middle. I love them but ITM starts moaning before we even start doing them.

What if I started at level 1 and went up in increments of 1/4 of a level??? I'm sure the bike could do that! Then perhaps I MIGHT survive! I'll give it a go deb and report back the damage!!

Lazy Linda! Start at level 7 then go to 9,11,13 and in the very last interval take it to 15. Then call me from hospital.
