This is Francis- my rather sick goldfish and friend and fellow co habiter of Alison ( who isn't sick) Has anyone any suggestions? I'm treating the water for fungal growth, I put in a solution of salt ( which is supposed to help) I talk to her. cajole her and berate her ( none of which seems to help). We thought she was a very fat fish until I discovered she was an Oranda and therefore rather special! It's awful seeing her moping in the corner of the tank.

Not sure how to help your fish. I had to look after mums fish for one night and managed to kill them both... So i'm no help sorry :(
Isn't it great going book shopping. I love books, but never end up buying any because I can't work out which ones I want more ;)
Kristy- I know what you mean about the books- that's why I always spend way over the amount on the book vouchers!
Where I'mn working is such a good place to be- people care and are genuinely nice- not that they weren't at my last working place- only they were far too busy to even think beyond all the paperwork and problems.
I wouldn't mind the Strength Training on the Ball book.
Is your fish upside down? Its hard to tell. If it is I would suggest sending him on a trip down the toilet. Oops I'm being mean. I never had a fish I actually saved. I believe its nicer to the fish to kill it off quickly.
I'll pretend I didn't hear that comment deb and I certainly will block francis' ears!! ( do fish have ears??)
Actually since my last treatment of their water she has bucked up considerably. Looking much happier and eating a bit. Phew- she lives to see yet another day! She's costing me a fortune!!
